What am I doing?

That’s a question I often ask myself – there is so much to be done!

I am currently:

  • helping a friend with his second full length animation of an original Star Trek story, he wrote and is animating himself with the help of many artists and voice actors.
  • volunteering as Secretary to a new non-profit organization, Creative Roots Foundation.
  • working on upcycled fabric projects.
  • working on the second book in the “Amulet” series. The first book, “An Amulet of Souls” is available on Amazon in paperback and Kindle format.

I’ve also been taking care of my husband (who has had a series of medical challenges starting with a detached retina and ending with a MOHS procedure to remove a basal cell carcinoma) and my 140 lb dog, who has Cushing’s Disease and is losing the use of his hind legs. Oh, and I’ve had migraines and sciatica, as well.

As we’ve all mentioned to someone, “aging ain’t for sissies” – but “at least we are still above ground”. And as long as I am able to do stuff, I will continue to do as much as I can.

This coming month is National Poetry Month – so stay tuned – I am running a graphic poetry prompt for daily poems in April in honor of the month. You can read them or participate by going to the Creative Roots Foundation Facebook Group each day in April – which can be found at https://www.facebook.com/groups/creativerootsfoundation.
