It is funny to me that when I pour the paints into the cup (cauldron) to flip or do a dirty pour, even though I may be meticulous in picking the colors, they do not always present in the way I expected them to. Case in point, a painting I did this weekend:
The colors in my cup were orange, purple, violet, pink and coral. The majority of the paint was purple. Yet what “took over” on the canvas as I tipped to let it flow, were the pinks and oranges. This is an 8 by 10 stretched canvas. And you can see the veins of purple in it and in some of the cells.
I like it. And it was not what I expected or even was trying for. Ahh, such is life. Sometimes the unexpected is just as beautiful as what you plan to do.
